A Women Owned Business
Hello! I'm Alev,
I love the creative freedom of making delicious and unique desserts from scratch and sharing them with my loved ones, especially when it comes to desserts. I can definitely say that I am also a chocoholic. To me, the key to happiness is spending time with my husband, daughters, and dog, creating beautiful memories together.
I started baking as a hobby, and over time, it transformed into a home-based business.
The Story Behind Onebitesweet
Baking has always been my passion. When I moved to New York after getting married, I would spend hours at the library, immersing myself in the world of baking and indulging in the discovery of new flavors.
After relocating to Massachusetts, I decided to take my love for baking to the next level. I enrolled in culinary school and focused specifically on pastry classes. The turning point for me was when I made the first birthday cake for my daughter. I shared my cakes with family and friends, and word quickly spread. It was then that I realized baking wasn't just a hobby; it was my true calling. With a bold decision, I decided to turn my passion into a business, and that's how Onebitesweet came to life.
I had the opportunity to participate in the National Cake Competition and proudly received my first award. In 2015, I organized the first Cake Show Istanbul festivals, which spanned over three years. These festivals provided Turkish housewives with the chance to receive training from renowned pastry artists and compete in cake competitions. The events served as a platform to showcase their talents and skills in the art of baking.
Today, Onebitesweet not only offers a variety of cakes but also promotes Turkish baking treats and culture. At local farmers' markets in Boston, we bring the flavors of Turkey to people's palates through our delicious creations and souvenirs.
Onebitesweet is here to create unforgettable moments and turn your sweetest dreams into a reality.
